Carmen discussed why social media is a vital element of any B2B marketing strategy—especially given the need to nurture relationships over the course of long, complex sales cycles. But there’s more to social media than simply setting up your Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter accounts, and hoping prospects will click on your social icons. In this session, we not only explored the value of social media, but also addressed some of the key questions B2B marketers may have as they build programs to capitalize on that value.

About Our Presenter


Carmen leads social media and content strategy for Babcock & Jenkins, a B2B integrated marketing agency in Portland, Oregon, where she works with clients such as Ciena, IBM, Illumina, NetApp and CenturyLink Business. Prior to her current position, Carmen was a senior copywriter for BNJ and owned Prosody, a creative communication firm serving both B2B and B2C clients. Carmen began her career as a TV news reporter and producer—perfect training as it turns out for social media and content marketing.  Carmen holds a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin.
